Job Posting for Legislative Correspondent

 

Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) is seeking to hire a Legislative
Correspondent to assist on the Judiciary Committee issues, including
judicial nominations (including possible Supreme Court nominations), 
civil
rights, crime, immigration, and more, in a fast-paced office. Ideal
candidates should possess a strong oral and written communication 
skills and
an ability to work well under pressure. Duties include assisting 
legislative
staff in research, constituent correspondence and some administrative 
tasks.
This is an exciting entry-level legislative position suitable for a
well-qualified candidate who has recently graduated from college or 
has been
working for a year or two. Capitol Hill experience is a plus. Minority
