Greetings Brothers of Alpha East –

We hope that you are enjoying a safe and productive summer. We are pleased to present this official notification for the 9th Annual William E. Ross, Jr. Eastern Region College Brothers Retreat of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. The retreat will be held September 17 – 18th 2021, at the Courtyard Marriott at Yale in New Haven, Connecticut. As the Fraternity continues to implement its vision and reimagine “The Future of Alpha,” we must stand resolute in uplifting college brothers and ensuring a lifetime of brotherhood and service. Reflecting those ideals, the Retreat theme is “Uplifting Leaders for an Unpredictable Tomorrow.”

As many are returning to campus, we will work relentlessly to ensure the retreat is a valuable use of your time. The session has the vital and pertinent information to help foster the elevation of your chapter, propel you towards your personal goals, and enhance your development as community organizers and leaders.

We are excited about the opportunity to fellowship, learn and elevate the work of Alpha together. College Chapters should plan to arrive Friday, September 17th by 7:00 PM and stay until the retreat conclusion on Saturday. Further information and a full schedule of our retreat weekend are forthcoming. Any requests for deviations should be submitted in writing to the regional assistant vice president Tamir Harper (avp@alphaeast.com) and cc the (Asst.) Chief of Staff (asstchiefofstaff@alphaeast.com).

Each chapter is required to have 1 delegate attend the retreat in person. This year’s cost for the college brothers retreat is a modest $45, which includes shared lodging and registration. Each chapter is strongly encouraged to register its leadership and particularly all neophytes. Please register on AlphaMX at https://my.apa1906.net under events.
